CUT AND SEW APPAREL
Fully custom cut-and-sew apparel sits at the intersection of creative direction, technical design, and production communication. Creating successful apparel is far more than simply designing graphics — it’s about understanding how garments are built, how they fit, how they move, and how they ultimately translate into a wearable product people actually want to buy and wear.
The process requires a deep understanding of technical apparel development, including sizing, garment construction, fabric selection, material sourcing, and detailed tech pack creation. Every design decision has to account for real-world production limitations and possibilities — from embroidery, screen printing, and sublimation to specialty applications like puff print, embossing, woven labels, custom stitching, and unique garment treatments.
A large part of the process is communication and execution. When working with overseas manufacturers and production teams, detailed tech packs and precise production files become critical. The clearer and more intentional the documentation is, the smoother the manufacturing process becomes and the more accurately the final product reflects the original vision.
My role bridges the gap between brand vision and production reality — helping develop apparel collections that not only look strong creatively, but are engineered correctly for manufacturing, consistency, and long-term scalability.
