Custom Cards

Today I’m making custom One Piece trading cards! I stopped by a local comic and card shop and picked up a few random packs of trading cards, including Pokémon cards and an imported pack of One Piece cards. I couldn’t read anything on the One Piece pack, so I had no idea which characters or cards I was about to pull, but that made opening it even more fun. After cracking open the pack, I transformed every card into a completely original piece of custom trading card art. I painted directly onto the cards, worked around parts of the original artwork and gave each one its own hand-painted Pager One treatment.

Some started with simple ideas, while others turned into much more detailed custom card designs as I worked through the pack. I love the crossover between collectible card games, anime, illustration and street art. One Piece has an incredible visual world and so many recognizable characters, colors and designs that make its trading cards perfect for custom artwork. This was my first time opening and painting an entire pack like this, and I definitely want to try more custom Pokémon cards, One Piece cards and other collectible card games in future videos.

Watch the full process, from visiting the card shop and opening the mystery pack to painting each card and revealing the finished custom One Piece trading cards. Let me know which finished card is your favorite and what type of trading cards I should customize next!
