LA - TRIP TO SEE PSL SKATE LEAGUE - with Julian

his trip was bigger than just a skate mission… I flew out from Colorado to California to watch one of my longtime friends, Julian Christensen, compete in the Paul Rodriguez Street League (PSL) — and it turned into something way more meaningful than I expected. I’ve been skating and filming Julian for over 20 years. From being a young grom landing everything in sight… to now getting drafted FIRST into PSL by Paul Rodriguez himself — and then going on to dominate — it’s been insane to watch that journey come full circle. This video documents that whole experience. We hit the ground running in California — straight from the airport to the streets like we were 18 again. Sessioning legendary LA spots, linking with some of the best skateboarders in the world, and skating parks all over the city. We made our way through iconic locations like the LA Courthouse and other classic spots that have shaped skateboarding culture for decades. Then it all builds up to the main event… The PSL competition. Watching Julian step into that environment — competing at the highest level — knowing how much work he’s put in over the years… was unreal. He’s always been one of those skaters who could do it all — destroy contests while still putting in real work in the streets. That balance is rare. And that’s what makes this story different. This isn’t just about competition skating — it’s about a full journey: Growing up filming street parts Skating legendary spots Grinding through contests And earning a place at the top level of skateboarding To close out the video, I wanted to take it back… You’ll see never-before-seen old footage of Julian, mixed with clips from the entire crew — a full-circle moment that shows how far everything has come. This one means a lot. -~@Pager.One ~ Tristan Minton Extra clips filed by : Ray Montes - Brian Bell - Marc Wilcox
