Jersey DIY
I went searching through New Jersey for a hidden DIY fingerboard street par, and somehow actually found it! I talked my wife into heading into Jersey with me even though I didn’t have an exact address. I only knew the general area and that this underground fingerboard spot was supposedly hidden beneath a bridge.
After driving around and searching, we finally discovered it—and the place was even more epic than I expected. This DIY fingerboard park is built like a miniature street skatepark, with handmade concrete obstacles, ledges, banks and rails surrounded by bridge pillars covered in top-notch graffiti art. In this video, I document the entire search, explore the park and get some fingerboard clips at one of the most unique DIY fingerboarding spots I’ve ever visited. As someone who loves fingerboarding, skateboarding, graffiti and building DIY fingerboard obstacles, this place brought all of those worlds together perfectly. It felt like finding a secret full-size street spot built specifically for fingerboards.
Major respect to the builders, artists and New Jersey fingerboard community responsible for creating and maintaining this incredible place. If you know more about the history of this park or the people behind it, leave the information in the comments so I can give them proper credit! Would you travel to skate a hidden DIY fingerboard park like this? What city should I explore next?
