Printing in NEON! Pantones

This video is a full breakdown of the custom GOO fingerboard graphics I designed — from the original sketch phase all the way to production-ready print files and final packaging execution. I walk through my entire creative process starting inside Procreate, where I sketch and develop the initial artwork concepts by hand before rebuilding everything professionally in Adobe Illustrator. From there, I take the designs into full technical production mode — setting up dielines, print layers, bleed, safety zones, and production specifications to prepare everything for manufacturing. One of the biggest focuses in this project was experimenting with holographic material and understanding how to design FOR the print process instead of just designing visuals. These graphics were engineered specifically for holographic stock with a matte finish and NO white ink layer, allowing the raw holo material to explode through the bright neon Pantone-style colors underneath. The result creates insane color shifts, reflections, and movement depending on lighting and angles — something you can only really achieve when you understand both design and print production together. This video isn’t just about fingerboard graphics — it’s about the intersection of illustration, branding, packaging design, prepress, and manufacturing. I break down how I think through artwork technically, how files get built for real-world printing, and why understanding production is just as important as making something look cool on screen. If you’re into fingerboarding, graphic design, packaging, print production, Illustrator workflows, holographic printing, or creative process videos — this one goes deep. FULL PROCESS: → Sketching in Procreate → Vector rebuilding in Adobe Illustrator → Technical print setup → Dieline creation → Pantone/neon color workflows → Holographic material prep → Matte finish execution → Packaging + production design → Final fingerboard graphics reveal This is the kind of work I love doing — blending raw illustration style with real-world manufacturing and production knowledge.
